"I watched a TV Special
on Ballroom Dancing in Japan, and was struck by the fact that the alto
sax was the solo instrument featured in their tangos. To achieve
the exotic flavor of the tangos I heard played on the other side of the
Pacific, I recruited Justo Almario to play the solo saxophone parts.
With Bobby Bruce doubling on violin and cello, Ramon Stagnaro on guitar
and David Pinto supplying the percussion, I couldn't miss!"
